Hello Grade Five
My name is Ms. McCann and I am very excited to be your Grade Five teacher! This will be my first full year of teaching and I am looking forward to seeing you all grow both socially, mentally and academically! I enjoy teaching all subjects, but this year I am most looking forward Language Arts, Math and Art.
Becoming an educator has always been my life’s goal as I have always been intrigued by the ways in which people problem solve and work through daily obstacles. As an educator, I aspire to maximize individual problem solving skills, promote independence and facilitate meaningful communication between students, families and fellow students. I believe that every person can learn and be successful when given the proper strategies. Through hands on, authentic activities and differentiated instruction, you will be provided with a curriculum that will challenge, inspire and prepare you for the future. One thing that is very important to me is DEDICATION. Throughout the year, you will have many opportunities to collaborate with your classmates to formulate rich, insightful conclusions that you may not have thought of on your own. Together we will learn, think, explore, reflect, and be the best leaders we can be. I am looking forward to a great year! Welcome to grade 5 with Ms. McCann!
